My Personal Statement

A long time ago, someone asked me for a few words describing myself and what I stand for. It took me long enough, but I finally figured it out and managed to string them together.

As an artist, I am committed to capturing the spirit of New Brunswick in my work. I have always been fascinated by the quiet beauty of this province and the unique voice of its people. (On the other hand, I never let that stop me from spinning science fiction!)

As an educator, I am committed to assisting others to express themselves -- clearly and imaginatively. It's rewarding to help and encourage others to grow and expand their horizons -- especially those who truly need it.

As a business professional, I am committed to providing clients with clear communication on the printed page.

Finally, as an active member of the literary arts community, I am committed to the continued growth of the New Brunswick writing community in general and the Saint John writing community in particular.
