VISION, VOICE, AND VISIBILITY

EXECUTIVE REPORT FOR OPTAMUS 2002-2003 PRESENTED AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING SPRING 2002

The Executive's goal this year in giving OPTAMUS UNBSJ Inc. vision, voice and visibility, will begin over the next few months. some current objectives would include scheduled meetings with similar organizations for purposes that are two fold:

To benchmark our progress in terms of funding, representation of the student body, as well as gain a better understanding of their goals and objectives, and operations in general.
To open up pathways of communication between these organizations for purposed of gaining valuable resources for things such as support, the sharing of ideas, information sharing and being up to date and aware in order to grow and prosper.

To being, a meeting is scheduled with Fredericton's A.L.P.S for July, and they are looking forward to talking with our Executive and have invited our group to lunch.

In keeping with the opening of communications theme, OPTAMUS will encourage a better working relationship with the SRC Executive for the benefit of all students at UNBSJ.

It is also our purpose to establish working relationships with student clubs, committees, sub-committees, faculty and staff to better serve our constituents.

Improved community involvement is yet another objective for OPTAMUS UNBSJ Inc. in 2002-2003. Becoming involved and represented in charitable events, as well as hosting our own events such as a family barbeque, will allow us to become more visible both on and off campus.

Another planned objective is the improvement of our WebPages, complete with links to the school, similar organizations, and to get feedback for a better understanding the current student issues.
