Do you want to hear more live music in your community?
Do you want to be involved in fostering greater knowledge and appreciation of live music?
Through agreements with the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) and the recording industry, Music Performance Funds (MPF) provides funding for FREE public performances of live music.
The programme works with local co-sponsors, who provide the venue, the advertising, and a portion of the total performance cost.
Eligible projects include concerts in schools, parks, malls, hospitals, nursing homes, community centres . . . anywhere that can be made open to the public. No admission fee can be charged and no donations can be solicited.
The New Brunswick Musicians' Association, Local 815, AFM, administers the MPF throughout New Brunswick. We recommend projects to MPF for funding, act as the liaison between the co-sponsor and performers, and take care of all the administrative details.
