To promote and support the school by becoming involved as a parent.

Description of Services

Saint John Regional Coucil of Home and School Assoc. is an umbrella group that represents all the local ""Home and School Associations in both school District 6 and 8. It is a voluntary organization that supports the school, gets involved in voluntary activities to help the local school with all kinds of events programs. It is a lobby group that advocates for positive changes to ensure children get the best eductional programs possible. Et assists parents with understanding the many issues facing the schools in their responsibilities to educate children.

Outreach Program Location(s):

Each Home and School Association offer various programs on various subjects of interest to parents and their child's education.

Criteria for Service Eligibility

Anyone free to join you do not have to be a parent of a child attending a particular school.

Application Procedures for your Organization's Programs/Services

Any one can join a Home and school assoc. Contact your child's school Principal for details.

Meeting Places, Times, & Special Events

Each seperate Home and School association has a monthly meeting. Contact any school for details.

Fundraising Events 96/97

Every Home and School assoc.does have a fund raising event to raise additional funds for the children at school i.e. playgroud equipment etc...
