The Greater Saint John Teen Pregnancy Committee was formed in 1994 and comprised of 50 members of a variety of agencies and disciplines. It's initial focus was on pregnancy, however, the group soon expanded its horizons to encompass related issues. The three task areas contained within the committee are: family involvement and the male role, education, and access to information and services. The committee addresses such issues as self -esteem. responsibility, healthy choices and risks inherent in risky sexual behaviour.
Michael Sabean is a 26 year old second year Business Technology student in the Information System Specialist option at the New Brunswick Community College. He graduated from Kennebecasis Valley High School in 1989. Michael has five years management experience and is very comfortable dealing with the public.
Michael's role in the Web Site development project is that of Team Laison. His job is to ensure there is clear communication with the Free-Net representative, course instructor and fellow team mates.
Monique Bernatchez is a 22 year old second year Business Technology student in the Information System Specialist option at the New Brunswick Community College. She graduated from Simonds High School in 1991.
Monique's role in this Web Site development project is that of technical analyst. Her job consists of research, writing HTML and consulting with the developer and the team liason.
Misty Lennon is a 19 year old second year business Technology student in the Information Systems Specialist Option at the New Brunswick Community College. She graduated from Kennebecasis Valley High School in 1995, with high honours and an award in Business Studies.
Misty's role in the Web Site development project is that of Project Developer. Her job consists of page layout, structure, and content. She works equally with the two other group members to create, develop, and produce a successful Web Site.
