Description of Services
- Region 2 Hospital Corp. offers a comprehensive range of helath services to over 200,000 people in the communities within the region in addition to being the largest provider of tertory services to all of New Brunswick. Designated as a centre of expertise for neurology/neurosurgery, paediatric haematology/oncology and adult oncology. Region 2 also is home to N.B.'s only Heart Centre for cardiovascular surgery and interventional cardeology. One of only 4 accredited Tertiary Trauma Centres in Canada the Saint John Regional Hospital, Region 2's anchor facility is also the designated campus in N.B. for the Dalhousie Medical School Post Graduate Trials- with over 100 research trials on going at present. Over 4,000 employees and 320 physicians provide acute and longterm services as well as health promotion/wellness programs.
