Mission Statement
- (Abbreviated) Services are delivered and families of the Region 2 Hospital Corporation in an atmosphere of respect, confidentially, individualization and self determination.
Description of Services
- A Social Worker meets with the referred patient (and/or family) to discuss any needs that might have arisen in relation to a health problem. Social Workers in this department are available at the Saint John Regional Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Centrecare and Ridgewood Veteren's Wing. Services may include counselling, locating resources in the Community, assistance with discharge planning. Social Workers work closely with other members of the health care team and with Community Agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to planning. In patient and some outpatient services available.
