Mission Statement
- The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada is a national voluntary agency committed to eliminating neuromuscular disorders and alleviating the associated distress. The Association offers hope through research, creates awareness and understanding through education and provides services through personal support programs.
Description of Services
- MDAc provides the follwing services to our requested clients. 1. Information, 2.Advocacy, 3. Referra, 4. Support, 5. Medical Equiipment, 6. Travel. MDAC also funds research for neuromuscular disorders.
- We have 3 Chapters one each in Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton. We also have a support group for parents of S.M.D. boys.
- Criteria for Service Eligibility
- Our clients must have one of over 40 neuromuscular disorders covered under our umbrella.
