Mission Statement
- Organized in 1991, the ultimate goal of the group is the creation of a multi-purpore centre: a safe, comfortable and empowering place which would address the special needs of the women in our area.
Description of Services
- We have:
- initiated the annual ""Take Back the Night"" marches which have brought hundreds of women on to our city streets.
- organized events around International Women's Day, Family Violence Awareness Week, and the December 6th Anniversary of the Ecole Polytechnique murders.
- sponsored coffee-houses which allow women to socialize, network and share common concerns.
- run a variety of seminars, workshops and information sessions around issues pertaining to women.
