Mission Statement
- Grand Parents Day is law as of Oct 1995
- Second Sunday of September, Our national organization played part in getting a Federal Bill Passed
Description of Services
- Support System: Advise grandparents of experience other members have gone through.
- Best Interest of the Child: Child's well being is our group's main interest. Grandparents play a very large part in the up bringing of the child.
- Mediator: Our aim is to keep communication lines open less expensive than courts and lawyers.
- Public Education: Awareness of the importance of grandparents to stabalize child's life when parents are going thru divorce.
- Prevention: Educate the family of importance of having a family unit.
- Changes to Law: Had changes passed in provincal to recognize grand parents. Federal Bill's being worked on to give grand parents chance to be recognized in divorce court.
- Criteria for Service Eligibility
- No age limit or financial restrictions.
