Mission Statement

The Mandate of Fundy Region Development Commission is to foster economic development in all sectors of the economy for Charlotte, Saint John, and Kings Counties. The commission works with entrepreneurs and all levels of government to encourage and assist in the development of new businesses, to help exisitng businesses grow, and to reinforce the local economic mix by attracting new business from outside the Region.

Description of Services

- Staff can evaluate a business plan or assist with it's development by providing market related information and several guidebooks.

- The Commission can help to connect new and exisitng businesses with government financial assistance programs, and can help with the application process to avoid delays in approval. Staff members work extensively with clients applying for assistance under ACOA's Businesss Development Program, Advanced Education & Labour's Entrepreneur and Student Venture Capital programs, Economic Development & Tourism's Self Start program, or who are seeking venture capital.

- Fundy Region Development Commission provides liaison services between all levels of government and the business community.

- The commission acts as an advocate on behalf of the Fundy Region and it's business community in issues of economic development.
