CANDLELIGHTERS - SAINT JOHN

CANDLELIGHTERS CANADA is a Canada-wide volunteer organization serving children and teens living with some form of cancer by providing educational information, engaging in patient advocacy and assisting in the development of parent support groups. CANDLELIGHTERS CANADA is the only organization of its kind to cope with the implications of childhood cancer by providing supportive communications through such on-going programs as a school re-entry resource kit- manual, speakers' bureau, liaison with professionals and treatment centres, CONTACT, a quarterly newsletter, a national library with annotated bibliography, supportive parents literature, as well as co-ordinating travel and conference planning from its Toronto-based head office. Recently the organization produced a video entitled "One, Two, Three Ouchless" dealing with pain management.
