Mission Statement
- Improve the environmental health of the Saint John Harbour and its tributaries through the development of a Comprehensive Environmental Management Plan.
Description of Services
- 1. Community Environmental Monitoring Program-18 water sampling locations are monitored throughout the Saint John area.
- 2. Materials Exchange-Computerised database offering the opportunity to list materials for exchange.
- 3. Training & Implementation of Pollution Prevention Strategies-offer pollution prevention training for specific sector in the Saint John community (Automotive, Dry cleaners, Photofinishing/Printers Painting Contractors, Food Processors.
- 4. Paint Swap-Annual event offering the opportunity for residents to swap Paint, Use Oil, Old Car Batteries & Lawnmower. Over 30 000L of paint swapped in 1996.
