Mission Statement

AIDS Saint John is a community-based organization working in partnership with others to confront HIV/AIDS issues through education, prevention, support, and advocacy.

Core Values

  1. AIDS Saint John is guided by the principles of the N.B. Human Rights Code, namely, all persons are equal in dignity and human rights without regard to race, colour, religion, national origin, ancestry, place of origin, age, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or gender including prohibition of discrimination based on socioeconomic status.

  2. Encompassing those principles is the recognition that everyone has the right not only to dignity but also to respect and compassion.

  3. We encourage a supportive, accessible, and adaptable environment where everyone feels they belong.

  4. We ask for integrity, honesty, and accountability from each other, knowing these are the bases of any worthwhile organization.

  5. We are motivated by a desire for learning, social justice, and commitment to action for those affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS.

  6. Believing all this, AIDS Saint John encourages each person to develop his/her own spirituality based on celebration, joy, and an integrated sense of self and belonging.
